A Tale of Spectacular Success
|
John is a true visionary and pioneer of the digital world. At the age of six, John touched his first computer. Mesmerized, his passion was ignited and what followed was an odyssey of exploration into this new world and a journey through self discovery. In the early 90s, his junior year in college, he launched his first business venture buying and reselling used computers and consulting his buyers on “Internet Set-up”. This initial entrepreneurial success was followed by a series of grander ventures that pioneered many of the evolutionary milestones of the web, from creating the first-ever online interactive game to co-founding and building Advertising.com, the world’s largest and most successful third-party online display advertising network, search engine optimization, and domain name management. In 2004, he and his brother Scott sold Advertising.com their innovative online marketing system to AOL for $495 million. John has been named Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young LLP. Currently John is the co-founder of Domain Holdings. As you will learn, this was only a beginning.
Concurrent with his successfully developing business track, he has also focused much energy on a philanthropic track. He has levered his online acumen to build a unique charity fundraising site – Microgiving.com.Life events further stimulated his enthusiastic yearning to help people in need.Last year, John’s big heart was evidenced when he was featured on an ABC-TV episode of the Secret Millionaire.
John will join us and share his rich history of serial entrepreneurship and philanthropy as well as what exciting business opportunities he is now pursuing. You will surely be transfixed and inspired as he unfolds his spectacular story.
